headers,y-pipe and cats????

my 97 z28 has dual cats, the headers and y-pipe set up i'm thinking of buying is for a single cat set up,does anyone out there have any experience with this problem. any help would be welcome. thanks

IMHO, I'd get rid of the cats if at all possible(if you don't have to pass emissions). Replace them with exhaust tubing. Otherwise, I'm not sure how your setup is right now so I can't help you with a single cat setup.

If you are going with the single cat setup, just remove the rear 02 sensors completely and use either 02 simulators or PCM tuning to avoid an SES light.
