Synthetic Mobil 1 75W90 Oil for Detroit Locker?

Synthetic Mobil 1 75W90 Oil for Detroit Locker?
I put I believe it was Synthetic Mobil 1 75W90 with my 9" Detroit Locker, but have now read from some posts on here that synthetic is not a good idea with a locker. Is this true? Should I have gone with a different oil weight and non-synthetic oil?
