'94 LT1 scanmaster wont work!

got a 94 camaro that was originally 3.4 auto and has has a OBD1 LT1 with a T56 swapped in and i am currently tryin to install a scanmaster LT1. I get power and I am connected to the serial data wire but all i get on the scanmaster display is [LE1 1.3] it displays that for about 3 seconds and then turns itself off. what is going on here? do i have an issue with the unit, or is my serial data wire dead? I am know its the right wire, its the tan wire on the top second pin from the left and i know my connection with it is good too. Im pulling my hair out over this because it should have just been a simple job and has now turned into an all day affair! PLEEEEZE HELP ME OUT!!

When you power up the ScanMaster, it runs for a few seconds, then shuts down if it can't find a data stream on the white wire. You need to make sure the white wire from the ScanMaster is connected to the light tan wire in the ALDL connector, and that the tan wire has continuity back to the PCM.

On my 94, the tan wire is in the bottom row, far right in the ALDL.
