Want to remove my stock rear U-joint and press on a 1310-1350 conversion joint. Asked my dad to help me and he said it's different than the ones "back in the old days" :D

How exactly does the stocker come off?

Thanks

There's a nylon retainer internal to the U-joint. It has to be melted out with a torch to pull the stock joint out. From there on, the replacements go back in just like they did in ye olde days. With the cross-over joint for my Strange, I just took it to a local shop and paid them $10.

Yep, helped a buddy install his Strange, and after a few minutes trying to get the old U-joint out, even with heat - decided to just take it to the nearest shop.
