Wanting to purchase tunercat for obd-1 and 2 few questions

The obd-2 package comes with one free definition file, and all others are and extra $80. Does this mean u can tune unlimited amount of vehicles for the definition file? And does anybody have any updates on the definition files available for obd-2. I really need a file that will work for my buddies 02 avalanche with the 8.1 liter in it, and didn't see any definition file for it. Is it the same as the 6.0??

Thanks for the help in advance
