hey to those that have bought a 98-02 spoiler with the posts in the middle did you screw them down my new SS spoiler that i recieved from spoiler depot has holes drilled already just wondered if you guys have secured the middle posts.

where should i place the padding that came with my spoiler at on my car hatch/ spoiler.

also my spoiler doesnt have studs like the stock spoiler has to bolt it down it already has holes that have threads in them what should i use to bolt it down suggestions please.....

Most people that have got a 98-02 SS spoiler have used foam tape or double sided tape for the posts. On the mount part, I would either use some studs and the stock nuts that are off the Z spoiler if the bolt and tapped spoiler holes are the same size, or get some bolts that will fit in the holes already tapped in the spoiler.

Wow I confused myself reading my own post, but I can't think of a better way to word it... :o

Yeah, just put some foam tape over the ends of the 2 posts. Just using the 2 bolts on each end of the spoiler will be just fine.

i just used some bolts on my 98+SS spoiler. I also just put some double sided tape on mine. I didn't want to drill holes in my hatch for the posts and i'm glad i didn't because i'm probably gonna ditch my 98+ if i can find a 96-97 SS spoiler.

I'v been meaning to do something about that. I recently put my 98-02 SS spoiler on my camaro when I get it painted and the thing rattles around hard when I have to slam the trunk lid down. I"m thinking about using 3M Double sided tape or possibly some foam peices with tape on the back.
