Are expensive oil pumps REALLY worth the money....experience witin please

Well the oil pump i have now i can't use with my moroso oil pan because moroso doesn't make a pickup that will work so i'm forced to send the pump back to summit and get a different one

i would like to run a high volume pump for my TT motor and feel a little safer but are the expensive "race" oil pumps worth the money?

i know i've heard it all before why spend X amount of dollars on your motor and put in a cheap oil pump, but if it works why not?

Basically i'm either looking @ getting the melling M55HV pump or the moroso blue printed oil pump. There is about a $60 difference between them and i know the melling has a 5/8" inlet and the moroso i believe has a 3/4".

Who has some opinions on this and experience?

thanks

I've always had good luck with stock oil pumps. YMMV.
