Tubular K-member and A-arms - Ok for daily driving?

I *tentatively* have gotten a tubular K-member and lower A-arms. Was just curious if there were any issues involved in running these in a car that sees more highway miles than track time?

On a side note, what kind of weight savings and other gains can i expect to see? I know access to the motor should be GREATLY improved

Will be alright for daily driving, might be a bit harsher ride. Will save a bit of weight but the big advantage is the space you'll save for installs, especially headers.

I think bmr claims up to 100 lbs with their k-member, a-arms and lightweight shocks.

~100lbs w/ their k-member, a-arms, QA1 springs/shocks and light weight drag brake setup.

~40lbs with just the k-member and a-arms.

I was talking to a guy last night about the tubular k-member and a-arms he has on his '00 Z28. He said he loves it, there's a huge difference in weight between stock and the tubular. Only complaint he had was something about the oil filter being a little harder to access but even then he said it's not a bad trade off.

I'd love to be able to install a tubular k-member and a-arms while I had engine bay cleaned out for the heads/cam/header install but doubt I'll have enough time to get the cash together for it.

I would think it'd be a nice way to be able to get those front tires off the ground
