I was looking for something in a back issue of CHP magazine and i noticed an article about a camaro gathering...they had a picture of a red 98+ body style camaro with a flat hood and RS style stripes....

the caption said "EXTREMELY rare daily-driven ES camaro"


i've never once heard of a Camaro ES???? I'd imagine it's a typo for RS (especially since E and R are next to eachother on a keyboard) but it DID have some kind of weird badges that i couldnt identify on the fenders. they looked like they did indeed say ES in the SS style font.

 

typo maybe. google turned up nothing.

 

sounds to me like it falls into the category of the WS7 firebird and the various fake "type R" imports...

something someone made up to seem special

 

i was thinking along the same lines....thanks for the input.

 

The ES option added the 427 C5R engine.
