Where can I get 4.11 gears for 10 bolt?

I am putting 4.10s/4.11s in my car and I have heard that 4.11's are stronger because of the difference in the number of teeth. Are there really 4.11's made for a 10 bolt? If so where can I get em?

Thanks

I don't think there is a 4.11 for the 7.5" 10-bolt.

These links lead me to believe that it is possible to get a 4.11 for a 10 bolt. I will contact motive on monday and see what they can do.

I've checked SLP and they only make 4.10 for the 7.5 rear end.

Does Motive make a good gear set? I'm in the market for 4.11's or 4.10's

GM motive gears are 4.11s even though they're listed as 4.10s, I have a set in my car, they are
37 tooth ring
9 tooth pinion

= 4.11

Same here. I destroyed my 4.10s and didn't want to go through a big setup routine so ordered Motive 4.10s again. They came in and were completely different... actually stamped as 4.10s but were really 4.11s. I posted this before in another thread...

FWIW, when I broke my GM Motive 4.10 gears, I ordered another set of the same gears. When they came in, they were very different (like you said, different number of teeth) and while they were stamped 4.10 right in the steel, they were actually 4.11s

Uh huh.

To set the record straight:

41 / 10 = 4.10
37 / 9 = 4.11

So it's MOTIVE that makes 4.11's for the stock 10-bolt, eh? I've always heard they're out there, but never knew WHO built them.

Re: Where can I get 4.11 gears for 10 bolt?

So if I call up thunderracing and order motive 4.10's I will get a 37 and 9 gear? I called motive gear themselves and they said they have a regular 4.10 and a performance line gearset. The guy did not know the exact number of teeth on the performance line gear.
