I see lots of people like the stage IV from SPEC but nobody mentions which material they have. Sounds like ceramic grabs and chatters the most while carbon grabs and chatters the least? Which material is everyone loving so much?

I'm using the Spec 4 Carbon, it's really pretty smooth, especially for being a solid hub disc. It grabs very well though, I'm really happy with it so far. I dont even get any chatter in reverse, feels almost like stock. It will chatter a bit if I try to let it out really slow, in normal street use it's really pretty smooth. I think the Ceramic is supposed to be the harshest grabbing of the materials.

If you can afford it, get the Street Twin. Best clutch out there for a 4th gen by a mile.

If I were in your place, I would look at it from a time/money aspect. McLeod can get backed up/will jack you around with your order. If you need a clutch soon get a Spec. If you can wait up to a month or more, get the ST.

I have a Stage 4 that I ordered about 8 months ago. When I ordered, they told me there was only one option (when I talked to the Spec Tech) which was a carbon/ceramic combination. It looked like there was one kind on each side. That may be different, but that's what I remember. I think some of the websites just have the option listed when there isn't one. (I could be wrong though)

The clutch is nice while you are driving like a fool. You can chirp 4th and it takes whatever you give it on slicks, but around town it isn't the funnest. It isn't bad but it doesn't slip much at all and makes you enjoy slow city driving a bit less. A good clutch though, but if you can wait I would recommend the ST as they are about the same price when all is said and done (master cylinder, clutch and flywheel).

I'd like a street twin but a college budget wont allow. I think the carbon is what most people go with? I've done the research and just cant find any info on the material.
