If you mean mods, then here's my list. Pacesetter coated LT's, true dual exhaust with X pipe, SSRA with a lid, and a madz28.com tune. For a little over a grand you'll gain about 50rwhp and sound mean.

How about you do a search on the word "Fancy?"

Spray, hands down. You can get a nice wet nitrous kit for under $600 and bolt on 150rwhp in an afternoon...

Re: Best bang for the $$$$$$

Welcome to the board.

Start out with a lid. Every LS1 car (from mild to heavily modified) has one, so it's a mod you'll have forever. They're all basically the same. I got my Direct-Flo for $75. You won't feel anything after it's installed, but the extra power will be there.

As far as exhaust goes, select the one with the sound you like the best and one that will give you good power gains. www.ls1sounds.com is a good site to start at.

Don't bother with a K&N, they're worth like 1-2HP at the most and aren't worth the hassle of cleaning them. A paper filter works just fine.

I wouldnt suggest bolting on a 150 rwhp nos system to a stock engine

Re: Best bang for the $$$$$$

I have a 6 spd. with K&N Air intake and 3:42 gears. I was thinking of going with a 3:73 Auburn pro type, cone type limited slip unit. That would wake her up, I need a heavier duty rear because I'm running 17" x 11" rear rims and 335's in back. I want it to be a quiet, unasuming ,quicker than stock car.

a stock engine can handle a 150 wet shot no problem (as long as you swap to a colder plug like an NGK TR6), but the fuel system is what is lacking for that size of a shot. all you need is an in-tank fuel pump and you're good to go (along with all the nitrous safety accessories, of course).

Re: Best bang for the $$$$$$

Best Bang for the buck mod has to be a cutout hands down.
I say this since Nitrous can be very expensive over the long haul, just considering filling bottles, and rebuilds if you get greedy, don't tune it right, etc...
$25 part & $20 labor to have it welded on.

Why? It will work on an LS1 just fine if the proper safety measures are used.
