I had a quick compression question.

I have the -31cc SRP pistons. What cc combustion chamber do i need on my AFR210's to end up with ~8.5 compression. I know gasket thickness, etc. plays a role, but lets just say on a standard LT1 bottom end for example. I used the calculator on this site and it said ~60cc? It doesnt sound right...

are you really just using stock bore sized pistons with stock stroke? if you are boring or stroking any it will affect what size head chamber youll need so we need to know that

with that bore, stroke, and a -31cc piston, assuming a felpro 1074 gasket (4.125 bore, .039" thickness) and .000 deck height, you will need a 65cc chamber to put you at 8.5:1. with -.005 deck you will need a 64cc chamber, with -.010 deck height you will need a 63cc head chamber. for best quench go with zero deck height, if you want to be able to use that block for another rebuild, leave a little deck height on it
