Tight Fit?

I have a real quick question. I recentely reaplaced my old clutch with a Ram clutch and I had a question. I also replaced the old pilot bushing with a new brass bushing, not bearing, from Autozone. Now the question I have, is the input shaft suppose to fit tighly in the bushing? When I reinstalled the tranny I had a hello hard time getting the tranny to fit right up against the bellhousing. What I did was start 1 bolt on each side and 'pull' the tranny and bellhousing together. Does this sound right? I haven't had any problems :knock on wood:.

yea they can be a lil tight.. did you put a lil grease on the tip? sometime's the disc is not perfectly aligned and would require it be pulled in.. its normal.. :)

Yes, I put grease on the tip of the input shaft, and a little in the pilot bushing.
