T-5 To Richmond Super T10 swap. Need different drive shaft?

That about sez it all.
I am swapping the blown T 5 with hugly cracked case, to a Super T 10 fresh in the crate from summit, for my '84 race car. I need a stronger tranny and don't really need a 5th gear for road course.

Has anyone done this swap?
Do I need a longer drive shaft?
Thanks
Evan

I am gathering parts for the same swap but haven't done it yet. I think that the driveshaft you want is from an 82 4 speed or and auto with a 200 trans. You will need a different slip yoke off a turbo 400 or super t-10. I have been told that astro vans have a rear pinion yoke which takes a 1350 universal which I am going to look at and then you could get a slip and shaft for that. The bell housing needs to be changed so that the t-10 sits upright. Don't know about your clutch cable ( push or pull ) as I am going with a howe hyd throwout bearing. If you want to keep in touch as your project goes on you can e-mail me at rroberts@eudoramail.com
