Extra Capacity Tranny Pan, Worth It?

Just like the topic says is it worth it? My stock pan is will not quit leaking (I think it is bent) so I am just going to get a new pan. Also does anyone know where I can get new bolts as well?

A high-capacity pan will help keep the trans cool, which for a 700-R4 is a very good thing. It's gonna cost a little ground clearance (depending on which one you get) but it's definitely better than a stock pan.

Bolts you can find at any hardware store.....just take an old one with you to match 'em up.

i deffinitly recomend the deeper transmission pans. i've found the transmission fluid temps are actually lower with a deeper pan than using an average size transmission fluid cooler. i've been doing alot of testing with the 700r4, 4l60, and 4l60e's over the last 2 years with my own and other's i've worked on/built and found the deeper pan is one of the best mods of any.

If you already bent your Pan and it is leaking, I would be cautious about getting a deep tanny pan. If you insist, make sure it is stamped steel and NOT Cast Aluminum. Reason, Steel will bend and the cast aluminum will crack ( major fulid loss). Just some advice. There are PRO & CON on this subject.
