:( looking in my engine compartment today i noticed that i have one line going into the bottom hole of the 2 but the top looks like it has some kind of plug in it

i havent further investigated this problem, but is ther any reason why the previous owners mechanic would do that?

how bad is it to be like that, i know that hot temps are very bad for tranny

i havent been racing or ripping around too much since i bought the car. should i totally stop driving?

Most interesting! Do you have two coming out of your trans? Right side behind the bell housing.

Follow the hard lines from the trans. Is the upper line even present?

haha yep it was extreamly odd when i was looking at it and wondering where the other one was,
thankyou for your imput

I found the other line. it was "did you see the one under the lower rad hose?"

it was dark when i was looking for it and i thought that they would both be routed along the side of the fender

so i have both :D but what is that plug thing for? the one on the top

u plug the top hole for the tranny when u put in an aftermarket tranny cooler,so look on the front of ur radiator and see if it has 1 there.

For a sensor that you don't use. :)

The later cars used that hole for an electric cooling fan sensor.

nope, it is for the optional coolant level sensor

if needed, the fan switch always went in the pass head
