will the tires I want rub?
will the tires I want rub?
I got a 94 3.4L camaro right now I have the stock 215/50/16 on all four tires. I want to put some 245/60/16 all the way around. But I'm concerned that with the higher profile tires that when I'm turning the front wheels they will rub on the wheel well or rub on something. Does anyone have these on their camaro and not rub?

If you really mean you want 245/60-16 tires, you will have a problem, because a) Tire Rack doesn't list any tires in that size; b) if they did, they would be almost 2" larger in diameter than you original stock tires, would definitely rub, and would slow your car down quite a bit, because that large a tire would have the same affect as going to a numerically lower rear axle ratio.
Re: will the tires I want rub?
I kid you not they are 215/50/16 I do'nt think they are stock as what came on the car from the factory but thats what was on there when I bought the car. So the biggest I could go is 245/50/16 all the way around?

There is also a 255/50-16 that will work on an 8" wide wheel. That's about it for 16 inchers.
If you are running 215/50-16, and no one corrected your speedometer, it might be off a bit. A 215/50 is only 24.4" diameter. Your speedo will be showing about 5% more MPH than actual speed, and your odometer is racking up 1050 miles for every actual 1000 miles driven.
