MAF pressure side=rich?

wouldn't relocating the maf to the pressure side always make you run rich? it's blowing constantly cooling the hot wires whether the throttle is closed or not. i know the blow off valve is open, but how much really escapes though that 1.5 inch hole? my car is so rich at idle if you rev it a little while at idle it will mix the black sut with the condensation in the exhaust and leave black streaks all the way up the driveway. any help , comments please!!!

No it doesn't make you always run rich. I've got mine on the pressure side, and it runs just fine. I've monitored it with a wideband to verify it. Something else is wrong with your setup.

you pretty much said your problem in your post... you're surge (blow-off) valve is releasig metered air. At idle the surge valve is probably letting as much or more air out than your motor is using.

You need to have the surge valve before the MAF, not after.

my surge valve is between my intercooler and maf and from my maf to the throttle body is solid. my fuel pressure regulator is stock now i have 50 lbs when the vaccum line is off and 44 when it is idleing and vaccum line is on. runs sluggish to about 3500 the comes on like a ton of bricks, idles smooth, revs smooth, never breaks up or anything, i'm going to put my scanmaster on this weekend to try to figure this out...
