will ls1 k-member fit on 97lt1

i posted this on the lt1 forum but noone seems to know. will the ls1 k-member minus the motor mounts fit on a 97 lt1. will everything hook up right?

While I have not tried such, I was told by a friend of mine that works a salvage yard that they LS1 and LT1 k-members are different and will not sub for one another. Don't know why. Also if you are looking in the after market, they sell different ones for each engine.

I believe the k memeber would bolt right up but the problem is lt1s have different motor mount locations then the ls1. so if you plan on using a lt1 with it veto it. only ls1s will work.
