Angry Please help me guys my alarm is going crazy!!!!!

I bought my car about a month ago. 1998 z-28. Any time it rains and I lock my car the alarm goes off. The Chevy dealer plugged into the car and said there was nothing wrong with it. OK fine darn it ! Well tonight I unlock the car with my key, I have no keyless entry remote. The alarm went off as soon as I put the key in a forward position. No matter what I would do the alarm would keep setting off. The freakin thing won't start I guess it has somthin to do with the alarm. Anyways I tried everything and no matter what I do every time I go to start the car it won't try to start and the alarm goes off. Can I bypass the alarm or get it to start somehow so I can get my poor car home ????????????????????

Do you have a remote for the alarm? If so, disarm it before you try to start your car. If not, remove the alarm.

Oh yeah. For future reference the Custom car audio/electronics forum would be a better place for a question like this than LS1 Tech.

If your car goes off in the rain then that definitly sounds like your shock sensor is way to sensitive. Your manual will tell you how to adjust it. Also, there are different settings for the alarm itself such as an automatic trigger if the Remote is not used to open the door. I think that is your problem.

Well...if the problem persists, you can deactivate the alarm until you find a solution. It tells you how to do it in the manual. Good luck.
