I hear ya about the busy thing - i cant bring the car in for another 3 weeks o well, he quoted me 600-700 for a cam install. better than the 1000+ i was gonna pay for this other guy to do it. Plus i get 2 dyno runs. Cant beat that!

I know, i was totally floored when he gave me that price. Somethin seems fishy tho... but i guess since they have so many customers, they can aforrd givin cheap quality work

They are reasonable for many resons...but mainly..

Because they specialize in GM performance... at any given point in time, they'll have 10-15 c5's and fbodies to work on.

They installed:
light weight k member
light weight a arms
manual steering rack
converted my dry nitrous kit to wet
installed a torque converter
rewired a lot fo things
ported my heads
ported my upper and lower intake
installed my d/s safety loop

Are we seeing a trend here?
I'm really happy with them!!!!
I'm dropping the bird off in about 1.5-2 weeks for a tranny rebuild

Unless you already know, you need to find out exactly what they were quoting. Was it an "estimate" or a firm quote? Does it include parts? The "small stuff" like gaskets and fluids can easily add a couple of hundred dollars to a job like this. It's hard to think an experienced shop in your area would be doing this job for $6-700.

Good luck.

Well he did say "around 600-700" so it wasnt really firm. But i do have like everything necessary (including gaskets) They shouldnt need anything else to install it that i dont have, except cam lube, but they are a shop and should have that anyway.

So yeah, sounds like this place kicks ***. I cant wait!
