stngh8r 09-07-2002, 03:35 AM Just wondering if you guys could help me here and tell of anythings i may need that have been overlooked.
i plan to use a 306cam, new springs, hardened pushrods, port heads using stock valves, programming and install long tubes.
i dont have the $$ right now, but later plan to go with 52mmTB, ignition box, and better fuel supply
MY QUESTION IS, WHAT SPRING DO I NEED? I WANT TO USE MY STOCK VALVES FOR $$ REASONS

whitehooptie 09-07-2002, 10:49 AM If using the 1.6 RR and that cam I would suggest the comp 987 springs, as your lift would be a total of .544/.576, more than the comp 986 was designed to really handle over long periods of time.
stngh8r 09-07-2002, 02:51 PM whitehooptie:so what was the problem you had with yours and what was the culprit? misaligned rocker, too much press, not enough press, etc....?
aggie:i plan to go with 1.6selfaligning, and stock lifters!? What ya think?

Shawn 97 Z28 M6 09-07-2002, 03:04 PM I'm using crane 10308's... And they work fine. Never have had a single problem w/ them.
95ChameleonTA 09-08-2002, 10:05 AM Hey Eric, I use 10308 too and yours a 94 so you don't need hardened pushrods. they come stock in 94-95 http://web.camaross.com/bb/smile.gif (don't know about 93s) what heads your going or whos porting them?
