Ok, my V8 swap got scrapped. So now my LT1 and tranny are up for sale.
I figure to heck with it, I don't race, I'll just do a mild recondition of my 3.4L and call it good.
Here is what I'm looking at to put in my 95 3.4L with 109,xxx on the clock:
New Crane Cams PowerMax 2030 cam
New Crane Cams Valve Springs
New Crane Cams Gold Race Rockers (1.6 ratio)
Moroso CAI
Pace Setter Armor*Coat Headers & Y pipe
3" High Flow Cat (Catco maybe??)
3.4L Specific Cat-back (brand still to be determined)
New Accel Injectors (19lbs/hr??)
Hopefully this will freshen up my engine a bit.
I still have some research to do, but this seems like a good start.
What do you guys think??

Those mods will definitely wake the car up alot. Good choices. Why did you scrap the V8 swap?

The LT1 I bought wasn't exactly 100% complete and I can't find the parts I need to complete it.
No time, no money, no LT1...
BTW, anyone want my LT1 and tranny???

Hey you have pretty much picked out everything I plan on doing to my 3.4. I have the same cam and am looking for those rockers...so now I have some q's for you. How come you aren't going with new gears? I mean that cam is really setup for high end mid to high end. The rockers will help but just curious about why you didn't change the gears.
What are you doing with the heads? With new springs and a cam how do you plan to play with the heads? I dunno I am still learning here I am just throwing up some q's to yah.
I have heard some good things about Catco. Check out www.v6.camaro.homestead.com (http://www.v6.camaro.homestead.com) a guy near me put that on and it has some good sound clips and reviews.
Sorry to hear about the LT1 scrap I was following that with a good bit of interest.

Depending on how things go with selling the LT1, I may do all that or I may only do some of it.
The rockers and springs are optional right now, but I would really like the intake, cam, headers and exhaust.
I probably won't have the heads machined or P&P, since I live in backwoods redneck USA and there aren't any shops around here I would trust to know how to do it right.
I barely trust the idiots up here to weld my mufflers on....
Right now I have 3.23 gears in my car, they're fine for me. Maybe someday I'll step up to 3.42 or something, but I like my 23 city mpg.
But until I get that LT1 sold, I'm poorer than dirt, so all these plans are just plans.

my only suggestion would be to get a more aggressive cam. I noticed a difference after i put mine in, but i wish i would've gotten a different one. find out what the stock heads flow and which cam will work best with that
