light blue smoke from tail pipes
350 cid tpi motor has been rebulid and light blue smoke is comming from the tail pipes. #24 accel fuel injectors were installed along with a comp cam #08-304-8 specs are 210/220 duration, 500/510 lift along with 1.6 roller rockers. cam has 114 degree center line. could this blue smoke be cause by the lack of computer mods or a sensor or mechanical reason like heads or piston rings.
Blue smoke is burning oil. There is a multitude of problems that could cause oil burning. The first order to me would be a compression test to determine if it's bad rings or valve seals. Who did the rebuild? Did they clock the rings correctly at 120* intervals or just install them with no regard to orientation, this could cause compression problems and possibly oil burning. Good compression on a new 350 should be about 190+ psi. Were the heads rebuilt. Does it smoke all the time or just start up? Does it get worse under power or what?
