Cars broke, mostly my fault, but Ill blaim the funeral
Yesterday I noticed a vibration from 2K up on the way home, I was a block away so I just parked in the driveway, took the car out of gear to check if it was engine or the whole drivetrain. The vibration was still there so I narrowed it down to the engine and the clutch area. Came here, checked posts on vibrations, most concluded it was the harmonic dampiner, or the flywheel being out of place. So I ASSumed it was no big deal, go to a relatives funeral(not close thank god), come home, and drop the tranny tuesday. Drive all of 50 miles out to the funeral with no trouble, then on the way following the funeral procession to the cemetary, the car just refused to shift into 3rd, after that i tried everygear, wouldnt shift into gear, as if they were locked out, finally I get it into 4th, pull up at a light, kick my 10yr old bro, and 9yr old cousin out into my parents car, after 5 tries, get it into reverse, hear some strange sound(not to bad thank god) and pull it into the closeset parking lot after doging traffic in reverse.
I am assuming that it is pressure plate/clutch/throwout bearing related, at least somewhere inbetween the engine and transmission, not anything internal.
Any ideas on what it might be before I drop the tranny tomorrow?

After reading overmy post, I realise its a jumble of words. Basically, the car will not go into gear untill repeted tries while on. When the car is off it slips right in. When it finally gets into gear while the car is on a scraping is heard for .5 seconds. But the scraping is not a grinding of gears like one would hear if one tried to just mash in the gears w/o using the clutch.
