Hey guys, been going through my engine bay, removing everything so I can paint it before the motor goes in. SO, I found this little "box" bolted onto the inner fender right next to the coolant overflow tank. When I went to dissconnect the harness, it turns out there is a 20 amp fuse in it, and its blown! What does this fuse do? thanks. It looks like it's a stock thing.

Ah, i know what you're talking about.
But i'm not quite sure. I think it's for the alternator (i think so, anyways)

It is near the battery. I still have my ECM hooked up, but the car is carburated. I have a relay switch I rigged up to work with the stock fuel pump, works great!
However, not that long ago, something went wrong and I can't keep a fuse in my interior light/speedometer/horn socket. I don't know what went wrong, but something did. SO, could this be related.
Also, can I remove the computer, all that stuff should still work, correct? THanks.

The electronic speedo is run through the ECM so if you yank the computer it's gonna quit working.
Also in a lot of GM cars the lighter socket is run off the same circuit as the interior lights....try disconnecting it because sometimes they'll short out and eat fuses.
