Air cleaner/assembly question

What find of air cleaner/assembly are you all running. I have an Edelbrock 750 carb with electric choke, and I am having a huge problem trying to find something that sits low enough not to hit the hood, but all the drop base ones I have tried, hit the electric choke. I would like a 14x3 assembly. Thanks
Chris

Darth I hear those foam filters are the worst thing in the world for a carb....but that's just what I hear. I don't have personal experience with them.

Tekno...I have an Edelbrock 750 mounted on a Performer RPM with a 1" drop base and a 14x3" K&N and have no clearance problems. I don't have to worry about the electric choke, but the base does have 2 relief areas that would probably clear it. You could probably just get a drop base and "persuade" it with a medium sized hammer to clear the choke.

I dont doubt it as cheap as they are. But I just needed something that would fit at the time and wouldnt let bugs in my carb.
