Question any way to make my power windows have more hustle?

I replaced my drivers side window motor over the summer, but its going so slow, I'm wondering if there's anything worng with it. It shouldn't break this soon after replacement. Possibly switch related? Also, is there any way to increase the speed that it ascends/descends? Thanks fellows.

my motor just burnt out for a second time. i hope you got the warranty with that thing. When i replace my motor im just going to have to turbo or S/C or something, maybe nitrous

but seriously i have asked around and there doesnt seem to be anything we can do about these horrible motors. I may be converting a to a manual crank
I also thought about those companies that make custom power windows for cars with out them. Maybe something can be done with there motors.

Pull off the door panel and look at all of the rollers that are in the track that the window slides on. On mine, the rollers had seized up and were not rolling but sliding causing flat spots and making the window go really slow. The quick and easy solution that has work for me is use some Moly Lube grease and grease the heck out of any part that slides. I did this 2 years ago and both windows are still going strong with no problems. Hope that helps.

also check or replace your switches. They are dirt cheap even from a dealer. When they get old and don't make contact well it will slow the window speed down also. I thought I would be in for the dreaded window motor install, but in the process of replacing worn out switches it perked it up quite a bit.

I have heard of someone rewiring it so the motor got a full 12 volts. I don't believe it does in stock form.

Spend a lot of time at drive-thru windows?

Wire up another 12v battery in series.

Just kidding... but it'll work... just not for very long.

Cool

Just generously lube all the tracks and gears with all purpose greese.Don't use the dark grey kind,as it stinks up the car for days.Use the white stuff.Any auto parts store has this.
When I bought the car 5 years ago,I had a very slow pass. window roll up and down.
Now with the greese,it's pretty normal.
Original window motors(cause they are still rivited in).10 year old car now.
But you gotta use shoeboxes web site,or disaster could be in the horizon,as this site shows how to(Do it All).Hope this helps.
