any ideas for 93-96 console?

ok that big box by the cig lighter sucks. its not a very good size, hard to put stuff in it due to shifter, EVERYTHING slides out to under the passenger seat, and it has things to hold cassettes even though my car came with cd. what are some suggestions on a way to customize this area such as a door or whatever. pix are appreciated. ive tried a few comparment deals from other types of cars but none are the right size, so my idea didnt work.

You could get some lexan or plexiglass and cut it out to cover the hole, paint it and mount gauges or switches etc. etc.

That is why you move the AC controls and head unit down

Something like that, with a screen where the DVD unit is. Of course a 7" may be a little big, but a 5" should/would be possible and look good.

Granted that one is in a C5, but gives you an idea.

I'm still working on it, but I am cutting Lexan and mounting guages in there. Should be interesting. Anyone have pics of this?
