Transformers Edition. I got to drive one!!
I am living with my aunt going to school right now. She told me to be at the house as she had a surprise for me.
I heard a honk and looked out the window. There saw a bright yellow Camaro with Transformers logos on it! I was out the door immediately! We got to talking and I was drooling a lot over the car before me. Anyways my aunt's friend's husband just bought it two days ago. He goes on to tell my aunt that she can take it for a gentle spin around the block if she wants. She says that she would love to but that I would be more appreciative of the chance to drive it. He turns to me and asks if I want to take a spin with him. YES!!
I hop in and fire it up. It's a auto. Adjust the steering wheel and out the driveway we go. It only had 38 miles on it so I was very gentle on it and cannot comment on acceleration.
Sitting in it felt great though. Again I babied it so I cannot say much on handling and performance. I can say though that this event made my year!
I can say though that it felt totally different, as it should, from my old 98 SS that I owned. Tight and pretty precise.
I have followed the car since it was a concept and saw it at the NAIAS. Sat in one at this years show and dreamed of being able to drive one. Well I am so glad this happened today.
Sorry for rambling on and on I just had to share this experience with some folks who would understand my excitement though.
To all the 2010 owners out there enjoy your cars. I am truly jealous of you!
