Re: ZR1's!!

Are the 56mm 17x9.5 ZR1 wheels a direct bolt-on with a '95 Camaro? Looking to get some myself? What is the best tire size? Basically looking to bolt on a nice set of wheels and tires and go, don't want to mess with spacers, etc... unless I have to.

Yes. 56mm 17x9.5 are a direct bolt-on, and when fitted with 275/40-17 tires, replicate the wheel location and outside tire diameter of the stock wheel/tire combos. A true "plug and play" setup. I have used 17x9.5's ranging from 49mm to 56mm offset, with no problems whatsoever.

Re: ZR1's!!

Thanks Injuneer. Is it best to use the 56mm offset on all 4 corners along with 275/40-17s on all 4s to look stock? Any rubbing issues?

Also, where is the best place to purchase the ZR1s? Anyone sell them brand new with tires mounted ready to go? Are they usually OEM or replicas?

Are these high quality? http://www.fbodymotorsports.com/inc/pdetail?v=1&pid=998

Re: ZR1's!!

No rubbing issues, since the overall diameter is the same as in the stock 245/50-16's.

There are a few companies on Ebay selling sets. SLP also has sets for sale, but I don't think they carry the 9.5", only 9". Still the same, anyway.

I think it really doesn't matter where you buy them. At least I don't remember hearing any major advantages in quality of one brand over another. I think somebody makes them a bit lighter than others, if that is of a cnocern to you.

Okay, just wanted to make sure that there aren't any manufacturers that are producing problematic wheels.

Thanks.
