I got a 94 z, and im lookin to put 18x9.5 rims on it. I already bought the rims with 275/35/18 tires on them all the way around. I was wondering if i would have any rubbing issues, and if so, how would i take care of these issues.

 

The factory Z06 18x9.5" wheel has a 61mm offset, which gives a 7.60" backspace. That is fine for the back. The outside of the wheel/tire will sit almost exactly where the stock 17x9 WS6/SS wheel sits. The inside of the wheel/tire will sit about 1/2" closer to the inside fender/LCA. That will not be a problem.

In the front, the inside edge of the rim is getting close to the steering knuckle, but it might fit.

Might want to try a "search".... Z06 questions come up all the time.

 

hey, I noticed you said you have a 94Z..and got the 18x9.5...did you buy the black Z06 Motorsports? and what color car is your Z? If its Teal with the black msports..id LOVE to see a pic..i have the Teal and was thinking of the 18x9.5 or the 17x11/17x9.5 depending on tire costs and fitments...(and did you buy them from discounttiresdirect.com? They had those msports for 214shipped each!!!! for 17 or 18! good luck, Derek

 

Actually i got the chrome z06 wheels. They are 18x9.5 and the offset is +53. So, i hope that this offset will work. Any comments will help.

 

i got the same size wheels from AFS. they fit fine when they were on. Now they are for sale while the car is down, but black ones will find their way on my car when the car is back up they will look nice over the baer brakes that will be going on

 

I do have the AFS 18inch wheels, and i was wondering what kind of lug nuts i need for these. i cant use my stock camaro lugs and put chrome caps over them can I? I would rather go buy a good set to go with the new rims, but i dont know what kind to buy, becuase i have heard so many different things. i know its a dumb question but i need to know.

 

zack how much are you asking for the Z06's. I just bought some 18x9.5 chrome rims and tires for 925 which i thought was a hell of a deal i just wanted to know what you were asking.

 

Go 18x10.5 on all 4 IMO

 

im asking 1400 locally for them. Theyw ere only on my car for like a month tops. tires still have 10/32nds of thread, which is what they came with
