Wow

Ok guys check this out i have a friend who owns a 97 trans am, but he was driving down mainstreet the other day and he hears this loud noise and was already luckily fixing to pull over. But what happened is all his lug nut stems just snapped off! What could be the cause of this happening does anyone know???

Do you mean he broke off all 5 wheel studs, simultaneously? Front or rear wheel?

i launched my car on the street and within about 3 miles i started noticing a clunking noise which was getting increasingly louder. i puled into a shop to discover 2 studs were snapped off, 2 stripped, and 1 hand loose. the mechainc who walked out said he didnt think my car would have rolled another 100 feet, the wheel would have fell off.

I've watched a Buik Regal w/a 455 do this to the right rear on a launch w/slicks and spray.

But in this case I don't know.
