Will this plug hold?

Im new at fixing flats but I had a nail in my tire. I got one of those slime plug repair kits (I didn't get the green liquid you put inside for the record. Its just a plugging kit.)

I pulled the nail out, cleaned out the hole and roughed it up. I then inserted one of the bigger sized plugs that came in the kit and cut it flush with the tire thread.

Will this plug hold and be a good permanent solution?

Its not leaking any air with the water test and It held air for 24 hours so I think im ok.

Those repairs are not meant to be perminant rather only temporary fixes until you can get your tire repaired correctly.

The plug that you used is not water tight and the tire will absorb moisture through it like a wick. The tire's integrity comes from the steel belts, if they get wet, they will rust..... Tire will come apart.

What town in Michigan do you live in?

Re: Will this plug hold?

If thats the case, Id like to get it fixed properly. Im in Clinton Township. I also have 2 more tires that don't hold air very well. They go from 35psi to the 20s in a week, i just make sure to fill em up every few days, what would be causing that and how do i fix that?
