i have a 95 camaro thats been tubbed.the rear wheels are welds 15"x15" the front were 15"x3.5".i had to use wheel spacers up front to clear the calipers,which i was'nt happy to do.i sold the wheels and have a wilwood brake kit coming, hoping this will help in eliminating the need for a spacer and less weight.
can anyone tell me what weld draglite 15" wheel width will give me the proper offset and backspace i need with these new calipers without a spacer? thinner the better.

Not sure if you are going to find anyone running the Wilwood brake kit and Draglites. What Wilwood kit is it (if there is more than one available)? Do you have dimensions for the rotor? How big is the caliper compared to the stocker? Do the brake pads have retainer springs similar to the stock pads, that stick out and hit the center disc of the Draglites?

The main interference with stock brakes, in addition to the spring clips for the brake pads, is the large horizontal bar that is part of the steering knuckle, and supports the top of the stock calipers. The end of that bar digs into the radius at the back of the Welds, where the center disc rolls over to become the rim. Does the Wilwood kit required sawing off that bar?

 

thanks for moving my thread to the proper location.yes,i've already modified the steering knuckle and wilwood has the diagram of the particular kit (140-6743).i was more interested in any drag racers with this set up.i've called wilwood and weld and they were no help.i'll have to figure out what i need after the brakes go on.
