Wheel help

I have a 1995 camaro and I am looking at getting some rims for it. The car is a show/street car, no track use at all. I am wanting to put some American Racing wheels on the car and have the rogue wheels picked out. I am looking at the 20" rims because I do not like the 8.5" width only 18" rims. What I need to know is will a 20x8.5 with a +35mm offset and a 6 1/8" backspace fit the front. And a 20x10 with a +30mm offset and a 6 5/8" backspace fit the rear. I do not want the wheels sticking out past the fenders and I am okay with running spacers. I want the rims tucked up under the fender but not tucked back to far. This is the same wheels but in chrome and they are close to what I am looking for. Thanks Michael

Re: Wheel help

To put a 10" wide wheel in the back, and put the edge of the tire right under the rear fender, when looking straight down from above, you need a 7" backspace.

These are 11" wide wheels in the back, with an 8" backspace. If you use a 10" wheel with a 6-5/8" backspace, the outside edge of the tire will stick out 3/8" more. You have to decide if you can live with that - it's not all that much more:

In the front, the 8.5" 35mm wheels will stick out about 0.3" more than the 9.5" 56mm wheels in the pictures above, and will be under the fender.

The fronts in these pictures (9.5" 49mm) are where the outside edge will be with your selection:

Obviously when looking at these photos, you have to allow for the differences in the Camaro fender profiles.

There are no spacers required. They would be used if you had much larger positive offsets/backspaces than you are asking about.
