wheel?

Hey guys I will be going with the boyd coddington smoothies 17x10 all around my question is what is the biggest tire I can get without it messing up my speedometer readings?

I'm assuming you're talking about width, which won't affect your speedometer at all.

I'm not sure of what size is best on 10" wide wheels. 315s are perfect on 11" wide wheels. Probably 285s or 295s will be what you want.

You only have three choices....

275/40-17
315/35-17

Both of the above match the diameter of the stock 245/50-16 tires, and have no affect on speedo.

285/40-17

That will be slightly larger in diameter and will cause the speedo to read less than 1mph low at 60mph.

Some manufacturers require at least a 10.5" wide wheel for a 315/35-17. A few will accept putting them on a 10.0" wide wheel.

The only 295/40-17's I've seen are racing compound tires.
