What kind of tires should I get?

Soon I will be lowering my bird and buying 17" and 18" c5 rims. I was just wonderin what kind of tires to get. Yea I know low-pros are expensive but tirerack has some for like $151? Is that worth it? Cuz I dont wanna spend freakin 800 bucks on just tires.

You will want over 285s for the rear.

Stock C4s came with 275s on the rear and they were only 17"s. I say go for 285 or 295, not sure if you can fit 300s on there, wouldn't try. For the front you cant go wrong with 255/265

I bought Falcon FK-451's from an online distributor Vulcan tire sales they are great so far. The tread pattern is pretty agressive. I think I payed less than $600 for the four 245/40/17 front and 275/40/18 (should have gotten 275/35/18 for the rear but no biggie.

I have Sumitomo tires on my Z28. Is that a good brand for the application?

I'm going to have to give my biased opinion and tell you that Kumho Ecsta MX's are the way to go. They are the best tire I've ever owned.

See sig. Also check them out on TireRack's site (ratings & prices), that's where I got mine, but I'm local to them so I didn't pay shipping
