What do you think?
Alright, so my car will be going into the bodyshop within a few weeks. When it comes out, it will have a SS Hood, 98+ SS Spoiler, Vizage Gfx, Chrome Z/28 Badging and Rear Camaro Fill-in, Front and Rear Black outs, Turn signal and Foglight Black outs, and all that will be riding on chrome salad shooters..
So I HAVE to do something about that.. and QUICK!
I've been thinking about a couple options and would like to get some input on what everyone else would think looks good or maybe has some pictures to share of a similiar set-up so I can finally decide.
1) 18" Chrome Y2K or 18" Chrome Z06 Wheels w/ F-body offset.
Pros: I know they will look good
Cons: Everyone has a set
2) 19" C6 Corvette Wheels
Pros: I LOVE how they look & will be unique for a couple months atleast
Cons: Not sure if they even fit? Anyone know for sure? Have to wait till atleast Oct to get a set. Probaly rub unless you use spacers and longer wheels studs, I HATE spacers.
3) Aftermarket Set of 20's
Pros: Any style I like and exclusive if I pick the right set
Cons: 20's may be a little big? Anyone have some good pictures?
4) Aftermarket Set of 20's w/ Spinner attachments
Pros: Once again, any style I like as long as it has a 2" lip, and I really like spinners.
Cons: Am I crazy? Not to sure how they would look on a muscle car. Sure they fit perfect on trucks and beemers, but this is American Muscle here. Anyone have any pics? Has anyone else even seen this done?

Re: What do you think?
Nothing says "ghetto fabulous" like 20" or bigger wheels. .but this is America and its YOUR car.. what do you want? do you like drag racing? Autocrossing? or just cruising down the road? Pick the wheels that compliment what you want to do with the car..
You have to live with them.. How hard would it be to get your $ back on 20" wheels that only fit Fbods? hahha

Re: What do you think?
What about chrome 20" Z06 wheels? Has anyone seen or have pictures of them on f-body's?
If I decide on aftermarket 20's, besides the Z06s, I'm either going to go with Kmc Stealths, Boss 304's, or Spinwheel Sp-178. I like all of these wheels and with the latter 2, the lip is big enough to add spinners if I decide thats what I want to go with. I like the "Big Balla" or "Bolted" add-on spinners offered at www.spinweel.com. But once again, this is a CAMARO we're talking about here not a truck or benz... I've seen spinners on Mustangs before and actually liked it so I've kind of been thinking; if on a Mustang, why not a Camaro? But then again... I'm really torn. I almost am about to sell this car and just buy a truck, but this is my first car and it was my dad's before I had it, so I'm really attached to it. I don't think I could go through with that..
I am into cruising a lot and definatly like to be noticed. I was into racing but I know my car will never be 10 sec or even come close so I'm not to worried about regretting buying 20's instead of a Paxton or whatnot. I'm happy with low 13's being my best. I also would like being able to enter my car into carshows and not having to be worried about whether or not my car stands out and gets noticed or if there's 10 other cars set-up almost like mine without getting too out-ragious with paintschemes or colors that just stick out like a sore thumb. That's why I've went with the Vizage Gfx instead of just the Rs package or any offered from Rksport and the like, I'm already gonna have a hood and spoiler that everyone and thier brother put on a V6 Camaro...
As for resale value of the 20's, most should fit on S-10's and the like so I'm not too worried about that if I decide later on that it's just not for me anymore. I do have about a month or so to think about this and make sure that this is REALLY what I want to do with my car. Not to mention, I still have to pick out the color I want my car to be and whether or not I'm going to go through with some reverse 35th Aniversary style stripes.. ::Sigh:: So many decisions...

Re: What do you think?
20's out back and 19's up front is the biggest i'd go with. 20's up front dont look right, and no matter what DO NOT PUT SPINNERS ON A CAMARO. its just WRONG!!! and if you are going to spend the money on a 19"/20" setup, do it right and go with a set of i forged or hre's or some other high quality wheels. but thats just my opinion.
Re: What do you think?
Don't listen to these country bumpkins on the board. Go 20's and you will never go back.
EDIT: Spinners do not look very good on Camaro's. I would go with some custom HRE or IFORGED wheels.

RealMuthaFkr, your choice of a screen name really isn't something we like to see here.
Please create a more tasteful name, make a new topic with a copy-n-paste of this info, and then delete this topic and stop posting under this name.
If you don't get this done by about midnight tonight, I'll delete this topic for you and PM you your original text so you don't have to retype it.
Thanks

Re: What do you think?
Pu12en12g, Do you have any pics of your car with the Z06's on? From your sig, it sounds like your set-up would be fairly close to what I'm wanting to do.
As for the Iforged wheels or the others, does anyone have any links to websites that sell these or any pictures of them mounted? Thanks.

Re: What do you think?
If you need to see some Z06 on a camaro, check my sig. Just remember, the bigger the rim(18,19,20) the bigger the coinage! Also your performance will go down as well w/ the bigger rim.
Re: What do you think?
hey whats wrong with spinners. I just put some 20 inchers on my z with skinnies. lol just kiddin' .....spinners don't belong on a z.......I installed the 18" zo6 's on mine. 17" on front and 18" on back. i went with 275/40/17 tires and 295/35/18 on rear. They look killer. I had to put in longer studs with a 7/16" spacer and do some beating on the fender wells in front of rear well to make them fit. but what a stance, this looks really kick ***......
