Question What can I use to keep cracked chrome from flaking? ---

I have 3 year old chrome z06's , and the other day I noticed around the lip I have a 1" crack in the chrome!!!

I really couldnt believe it , pissed me off. Almost makes me want to stop running chrome wheels (they are my fav.) ... or next time I will have to go for SUPER quality triple chrome.

I was thinking super glue, clear coat (from touch up paint) , or clear nail polish? Maybe I should just leave it alone?

What do you recommend to keep it from flaking, thanks ---

Your best solution is a re-chrome, but regardless you need to seal it up to prevent it from getting worse. Go with the clear touch-up paint.

Only certain thing I would say is "new chrome", but if you're gonna clear it, POR makes some REALLY tough clear coat. It's epoxy based just like the POR15 rust preventative, and it holds up really well.
