Weld Prostars. Tubes or no tubes? Confused...
Weld Prostars. Tubes or no tubes? Confused...
Hey guys. Just picked up a set of Weld Prostars from Summit. I'm planning on using 26x10.5x15 ET streets with them, and I have a set of tubes. Here's my question/problem/dilemma. Reading the literature that came with the wheels say that they are designed for TUBELESS ONLY tires. Why is this?
Do I need to buy another set of tires? Or can I go ahead and use my tubes with the ET Streets and Welds without a problem?
Really need some information. Thanks.

The wheels will work with either tube type or tubeless tires. You may have to drill the stem holes larger for a drag slick type tube.
Your ET streets are a tube type tire, but many also run these without tubes. They will work fine without, but may need more frequent air pressure adjustments. I've run them both ways without problem.

I run tubeless Moroso DS-2's on the front with 15x3.5" Pro-Stars, and have run both Hoosier QTP's tubeless, and ET Drags with tubes on my 15x10" Pro-Stars, also with no problems.
