Weld Draglite Question..
Weld Draglite Question..
Hey,
I posted sometin about this earlier in the suspension forum, but now its not about spacers and stuff since ive ordered those. Everyone says its not okay to run on weld draglites for a daily driver because their marked "Drag use only" or something similiar. I've looked all over my set i bought off a member and they don't say that anywhere on the rim. I looked at each rim for a good 5-10minutes trying to find it and its not to be found. Does this mean its alright to run them on the street? Does this mean their not really welds? Someone needs to explain it to me, lol.
Thanks in advance,
Dave

Re: Weld Draglite Question..
Only the 15x3.5 wheels are not recommended for street use. The wider sizes for the rear are OK. On the Pro-Stars, the markings are stamped into the center disc, between the lug holes "Drag Race Only", "Weld Racing", "Aluminum", "Pro-Star" , and the date of manufacture. On the Draglites, the stamping is moved outside the bolt circle, because of the extra bolt holes on the wheel.
If you go to the Weld online catalog, and look up the 15x3.5's, it indicates "Drag Racing Only" as well:
