I had Toyo Proxes 4 on my Camaro for a couple years... actually up until July WHen I bought my new 18" wheels and tires. *ahem* I have two for sale... MINT.. *ahem*

I liked them, Certain parts of here in Alamogordo they were slippery in the winter, bey anywhere elst they are great! Good traction and tread life. decent wet traction on the Camaro...

Re: Toyo Proxes 4 or Pirelli P Zero Nero M+S???

Funny, I just had Toyo Proxes 4's in 225/45 R17 put on my Saab on Monday. I bought them from www.tiredealsforless.com
I thought they'd ship them in boxes. Nope, they tape 2 tires together and that's how they come. Arrived in good shape though.

The OEM for my Saab were Pirelli P-Zero Rosso's in the same size.

Pirelli's:
-Only lasted 20k miles. Front were shot at 10k and rotated at 12k (I'm a dumbass, should've done it earlier). The rears lasted another 8k at the front before I just couldn't take the tires anymore and I babied them for those 8k. Rears were almost slicks at that point.
-Awesome the first 5k miles or so, after that they went down hill fast. Great autocross tire of you ever needed one. Can't say I recommend them for daily driving.
-Loud as all hell after 5k
-Harsher than a mother****er after 5k
-Worst tire ever in snow
-Very stiff sidewall. Exudes confidence in corners. Great grip when they have tread.

Toyos'
-Muuuuch cheaper
-Much softer. My kidneys don't hurt as bad after driving now.
-much less road noise
-Sidewall is certainly softer. Not as inspiring into corners, but that was a tradeoff I had to make at the price point of the tires.
-Cool tread pattern
-Z rated even though I'll never reach high speed is a plus
-would certainly recommend them

Oh yes, the Nero's would be good tires as well. I would just pick whichever one is cheaper.
