Tires for SS wheels

I purchased a set of chrome 10 spoke SS wheels and was confused as to what size tire to get. I'm going with BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW tires. I was told I needed to go with 275/40/17. I was looking at a 245/40/17 before that. Let me know what you think and the difference in the two. Thanks.

You'll want to stick with the 275/40/17 IMO. Take a look in the FAQ stuck on this page and it goes into detail and explains the differences between those two sizes. Basically, a 240/40/17 tire will be narrower and have a smaller diameter than the tire that is supposed to go on there (designed for 275/40/17).

Thanks Brent, guess I should have done a little searching first. I'll be dropping you an email in the near future for some new appearance products.

275/40ZR17

The tire is 275MM wide and 40% of that is the sidewall. Which is a low profile tire. Its an ASPECT Ratio.

Stick with the 275/40ZR17

I work for GoodYear. I would recommend the GoodYear Eagle F1 GSD3's. Or the Eagle F1 EMT. Which is a run-flat tire. Going to run you about $450 for the EMT's though. If going with a GoodYear tire be sure to buy from a GoodYear GEMINI and get the Road Hazard protection on the tires. Very helpful.
