Re: Tires recommendations

275/40/17 is the correct tire size for 17x9-17x9.5" wheels

Re: Tires recommendations

Since you indicate the wheels are the same size front and rear, it would be reasonable to run the same size tires front and rear = 275/40-17. That's the stock size on the SS and WS6 coupes.

Re: Tires recommendations

What do you think about 245-40-17 on the fronts and 275-40-17 on the rears?THANKS

Re: Tires recommendations

A 245/40-17 would be an inch small in diameter than the stock tires and the 275's you are putting on the back. Not a good idea, would look way too small for the car. Additionally, it would looked very "stretched" on a 9.5" wide wheel.

Not a good choice. If you want "skinny" tires in the front, use narrower wheels.

Re: Tires recommendations

You want the tire diameter as close to stock as you can get them. If you want the 245's, use a 245/45-17. That would be identical to the diameter of the 275/40. But BFG recommends a 7.5" min to 9.0" max wheel width in the KDW 2 line.

A 255/40-17 would be 3/4" smaller than the 275/40. A 255/45-17 would be about 1/2" larger than the 275/40, and is OK on a 9.5" wide wheel, but I don't see that size in the KDW 2.

Stop. Do what the man says and put 4 275/40/17's on the car. It will look correct, and make tire rotation easy.

My thoughts as well. If I was looking at buying a used fbody and saw 245's or 255's on 17" wheels I'd walk away.
