Tires

Having finished my brake swap, I'm now on the hunt for new tires. I was looking at some Bridgestone Potenza RE910s. Can anyone give me a little input on these? Are the better tires within the same price range? I am a little limited by the acutal size of the tire, 235/55/16 isn't that common a tire. Thanks.

You should post this on the "Wheels and Tires" forum. There is also a "sticky" with owner tire reviews.

I'll move the post for you......

Next.... what car? Year, model, engine, etc. Add a "Signature" with that basic info. Left click on "User CP" on the red task bar at the top of every page, then left click on "Edit Signature". That way you have the basic info about your car automatically added to every post its what is shown below the line in my posts.

If its a 4th Gen, the V8 models came with either 235/55-16 (26.2") or 245/50-16 (25.7") tires. Either size will work on the stock wheels, but you will need the speedometer adjusted for the change in tire diameter. The 245/50-16 offers a much wider choice of brands and models. Check out Tire Rack. They have 15 different choices for the 245/50-16. They also have user feedback that allows you tom compare the performance features of various tires.

It's a 94 v6, fixed that in the sig. I'd like to keep the stock size, the 235/55/16, I'm not too sure my speedo is that accurate to begin with, every radar station I pass tells me my speed is about 5mph less.
