Tires?

what tires should i buy? Most of you guys have said before G-Force T/A's. Those would be awesome, but i need something with a bit better tread life. from what i hear, they wear out after about 18-20k miles. i need something that will last me at least 38k miles. any suggestions?

edit: stock wheels

Re: Tires?

depends on what you need the tires for? Racing, Drag, Auto cross or just a daily driver.

Re: Tires?

you can rarely have your cake and eat it too when it comes to tires

hard pressed to find tires that last THAT long for cars...if you do, not good for performance

Re: Tires?

BFG KDWS have a 400 tread life rating and a pretty good traction rating, that's what I'm currently running. I bought them used, so I can't say how many miles they've got on them.

Re: Tires?

kdws arent that great for high performance driving. hell, i get customers replacing them on their GTO's with only 7k miles on them

Re: Tires?

My wife's Grand Am GT can easily spin the KDWS. I got to rag on, I mean test drive a couple GTOs at the GM Autoshow in Motion last year. The KDWS are very traction limited with an LS1 car.

Re: Tires?

I have had BFG KDW for 8k miles dry traction is great, but my wet traction sucks. If I take of more than 1500 RPM my rear end gets away from, and they still have proper thread.

They're doing something wrong.

I'm on my 3rd set of KDWSs and they've always given me 24-26K miles with proper inflation and rotations. I can cut 2.0s with these tires and they're great in the rain.
