Tires

What do you guys think of Pirelli tires?

Or the Kumho Ecsta 712s?

These will driven ONLY in the rain/dry pavement. Rims changed for winter driving. DR's are not an option

Re: Tires

I have P7000 on both cars. Works great to me. Not the best traction I've ever seen, but very good. Thread life is very good too. Drivable in snow

Re: Tires

Why not post questions about tires on "Wheels and Tires"? All you are doing is forcing valid LT1 Engine Tech problems to the bottom of the page faster.

Thanks for the help.... but it was originally posted on LT1 Engine Tech, and was moved here by the moderator.

Hope that clears things up "bro"

Re: Tires

M to S?

My friend is looking for an awesome set of tires and he keeps thinking Pirelli. He doesn't use these tires in the fall/winter so its only rain/dry pavement. He is looking for 235/40/17

Re: Tires

I've been researching tires for over 2 weeks now.
And I've got 4 options.

Best all around tire according to the ratings are.
pirelli nero-zero m+s
eagle F1's
bfg g-force
yokohama

Cheapest to most expensive were
yokohama
bfg g-force
pirelli nero-zero m+s
eagle F1's

My choice would have to be the pirelli's due to excellent traction in wet and dry surfaces and it has the lowest noise level, best ride comfort and longest tread wear.

Hope this helps.

Re: Tires

I like the Ecsta 712s. I put them on my woman's car and she hasn't wrecked it yet so they must have some traction. The sidewall is nice and stiff, even a 245/50/16 on a 16x7 wheel the sidewall doesn't bulge much. I like the way they look.

Re: Tires

He drives the car hard... He is trying to get his car to hook in first when flooring it. Without DR's
