I got a set of SS 10 spoke wheels the tire size on them is 275/40/17. what wider size tires will fit this wheel.

285/40-17 is the only other choice. A 315/35 is too wide for a 9" wide wheel..... although there are a few people running the Nitto 315/35 drag radials on 9's. You would have to decide for yourself if you like the "bulgy" look.
